Abstract illustration of the city of Karlsruhe

Our home
Since the beginning of 2012 we are located in the “old slaughteryards” in the east of Karlsruhe. This is where we feel “home.”

The area was built in 1885 next to army barracks and the castle “Gottesaue”. Unlike how it would be done today, the slaughteryards were built in a castleground-like layout by the city’s architect Wilhelm Strieder – which gives a special charm to the buildings, regardless of their rather grim original purpose.

We all started small. As we continued to grow, we needed more space and thus moved into a bigger building. In January 2015 we traded the “pigsty” for the “cowshed”, doubling our office space in the process. It has the same layout, but two stories of identical size instead of one.

Next to the famous theatre and stage “Tollhaus”, the pretty cool punk bar “Alte Hackerei” and the music club “Substage”, we feel right at home and are prepared to grow further.

Our hood – the old Meatpacking District.
Up until 1990, animals were herded across the street from the market to the slaughterhouses. Our building was built in 1887 and is now protected by heritage recognition.

In the beginning of 2016 opened our third location in Barcelona. As our business model grew from purely business analytics, strategy consulting and organisational restructuring to providing the implementation of technical solutions. We choose Barcelona as a new location to expand our technical expertise and find new people to support our way. One year later we moved to a freshly renovated office with lots of space. Our 200 square meter office with two meeting rooms, a kitchen and a chill out area has the capacity for up to 12 strategists.

The early days of netzstrategen were times of moving and travelling. Besides Karlsruhe there were offices in Stuttgart, Munich and Cologne. When Stephan moved back to Karlsruhe from Munich and our former company zelect GmbH was liquidated, we decided to close locations in Stuttgart and Munich. Lars maintained the office in Cologne, because he was living there and was able to keep in touch with media companies in the north-west of Germany.

In 2015 we made the decision to invest in our netzstrategen academy, so Andreas and Christina joined Lars in Cologne in 2016. In the same year we realized our first blended learning courses. Nowadays Cologne is our academy location with an office for 3 strategists and a meeting room. It is located on the so-called “Ringe” between Friesenplatz and Rudolfplatz, only 1,5 km away from the famous Cologne Cathedral.
