Travel blog relaunch for ltur

ltur's travel blog gets a fresh build: flexible for the content team, strong in SEO and with Gutenberg blocks that make varied posts possible without developers.

The starting point

ltur is Europe’s market leader for last-minute travel, based in Rastatt. Its shop lets customers book flights from over 130 airlines and matching accommodation from over 10,000 hotels. We accompanied the ltur team through the relaunch of its travel blog.

The task

The travel blog needed to be flexible and easy to use, for the bloggers as much as for the content team. The foundation: WordPress. At the same time, the content had to be easy to find on the web. That required close coordination with ltur’s SEO team. The editorial goal: inspire people who love to travel with tips, pictures and first-hand reports, and lead them to the online shop’s portfolio, where they book their trip directly. In short: a good SEO strategy for a travel blog that is quick and easy to design.

What we did

We rebuilt the blog on WordPress and developed custom blocks and features for the Gutenberg editor. The SEO strategy was created in close coordination with the ltur team.

The result

ltur’s content team now independently creates static pages and regular blog posts. The blocks we developed make it easy to give posts a varied look. The Gutenberg editor’s content blocks can be used flexibly. Texts and posts can be checked directly for their SEO quality.
