My full name is Italo Devoto Ramella. I was born in the fabulous 80’s in Lima, Peru. I have a wife, two children and a dog.
My interest in digital comes, literally, from when the internet began… Yes, I lived for several years in which the internet did not exist. In my adolescence I became interested in the creation of websites and I was doing my first jobs with Frontpage, long before Dreamweaver. Flash came out later on and it was a revelation, seeing elements move when you hovered over them, and you could even make them sound. Fortunately, over the years, I gained experience not only in development, but also in UX and UI.
I’m based in Barcelona, a city that I love, but I have to say that the building in Karlsruhe is beautiful and I am very envious of not having it here.
I am a full stack developer, I am dedicated to the development of web applications, especially based on Javascript, but I also have knowledge of other languages such as SQL, PHP and Python.
Like the entire team, I am responsible for developing solutions, ensuring the quality and improvement of our work, emphasizing the reuse, automation, performance and accessibility of what we deliver.
To date, I have participated in some assignments for Hauraton, Nutricia and Feco. But the biggest work I’ve done to date is creating the component library architecture for Kade, which we’re currently leveraging for Nutricia as well, and for the makers99 website in the near future.

My favorite tasks are those that make me think a lot. I love solving puzzles, and looking for different and better ways to solve problems. Especially if it is to help make other people’s work easier or to automate repetitive processes of our day to day.
When I can, I like to participate in some techie events related to Javascript or web3.
As I said, I am a person who likes to find the solution to everything, and I am quite confident that I can achieve what I set out to do. One thing that I like to do, while I’m thinking of a solution, is to make and unmake the rubik’s cube. It helps me think and refresh my mind.
I don’t like posting stuff on social media. Some time ago I did it more often, but for a few years I haven’t published personal things and I even deleted my facebook account. Instagram is the only thing I look at, but I don’t post. This summer I found BeReal interesting, as a concept, but I still don’t see the need to publish my personal life.
In the 10 questions, Italo explains what fascinates him about web development.
We implement the technological aspects of the Digital Game Plan. This can be a digital product, an online shop or website and also the technical infrastructure behind the projects.
