I have been with netzstrategen since the 9th of September 2019. I no longer felt comfortable in my previous working environment. I started looking for a new company in Barcelona and that’s how I came to netzstrategen. After the first interview, I could really see myself becoming part of the team.
The structured and holistic approach to projects. And of course the interaction between colleagues and the team spirit.
I work in the field of technical SEO, and prepare our client’s websites technically optimised for a good ranking on google. I also take on project management tasks.
Things are constantly changing and you never stop learning. There is no such thing as routine in SEO, every website has its own challenges that need to be mastered.
My mum is 88, it’s really not easy.
She should think of google as a supermarket shelf for tinned tomatoes. I make sure that our customer’s tins are designed in such a way that they can be placed in the best position on the shelf. Because the cans have to have the optimum dimensions for the most visible position on the shelf, otherwise they will end up at the bottom where nobody can find them.
Make sure your website has a clear structure. Organise your content clearly by topic and ensure that your internal links are thematically appropriate. This not only helps google to crawl and understand your site better, it also helps your users to find their way around the website. And what’s good for your users is also good for google.
For example, I like to read the Suchradar from bloofusion or listen to Alexis Sander’s podcasts on technicalseo.com. I also follow many SEOs on twitter, including Karl Kratz, Martin Splitt and of course John Mueller.

If the world doesn’t end then, I would try to earn my money with road bike tours around Barcelona.
Sometimes I have to think of the film “Jaws” when swimming, even in the Mediterranean…
