Marco Sindlinger

Data Engineer Strategian

My fascination with data can best be compared to a treasure hunt. Every new data source is like an unknown treasure chest – mysterious at first glance and sometimes locked. But when you take the time to open the lid, structure the data, analyze it, and connect it with other sources, great solutions and valuable insights often emerge. That’s exactly how exciting projects like Monster Monitoring and Monster Metrics come to life, where I develop complex data applications.

My path into the world of data began with a degree in International Marketing, which led me to Data Science and Statistics, before I ultimately dedicated myself fully to Data Engineering and Full Stack Data Development. Right after completing my Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, I built a fast, mobile-friendly website that made COVID-19 data understandable and accessible to everyone – a project that opened my eyes to the societal value of data.

„If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.“ – Isaac Newton

At netzstrategen, I now focus on connecting complex data worlds, making sense of them, and turning them into actionable value for our clients. My work centers on designing and implementing modern data architectures and automated data pipelines to integrate diverse sources – including GA4 and APIs from the Meta ecosystem – into data warehouses like BigQuery. I make sure data is not only collected, but also used in meaningful ways – whether through dashboards, automated alert systems, or advanced analytics.

What excites me most is when technical challenges and creative solutions go hand in hand. Projects like developing complex marketing data pipelines, implementing precise event tracking systems, or designing intelligent data architectures are especially motivating for me. The more demanding and multifaceted the task, the more engaging the work becomes.

When I’m not optimizing SQL queries or building API integrations, you might find me experimenting with my own side projects involving AI agents, gaming, or taking care of my plants.
