1. Since when have you been part of the team?

Since my first position as a product manager at Burda Verlag, I have worked continuously with netzstrategen in various areas. I have always been impressed by the positive impression the team atmosphere in the company makes – and after my participation in “Betrunken gutes tun” in the Karlsruhe office at the latest, I was convinced of this. When I was looking for a new challenge at the beginning of 2022, I got talking to netzstrategen again and it was a match from both sides.

2. What do you like most about netzstrategen?

When I was in the Karlsruhe office for the first time a month after I started, most of my direct team members weren’t even there, as the majority of my team is based in Barcelona – and yet I was welcomed so warmly by all my colleagues from different disciplines, some of whom I didn’t even know yet, that I felt really comfortable and part of the whole from the very beginning. It’s not easy to find this kind of atmosphere with respectful, cheerful and open-minded colleagues, even today.

3. What is your daily business and in which field are you specialised?

I am the coordinator (or in other words project manager) for the development team. I collect and coordinate all the requirements for the digital products that we work on in the development team and manage the team’s capacities for the various projects.

4. What impresses you the most in your field?

The big wide world of web technologies, which is constantly and rapidly changing. As a non-developer, I learn something new every day from my developer colleagues and improve my technical understanding. So it never gets boring. And as Team Coordinator, I find it particularly exciting how each developer brings different skills and interests to the table and can contribute optimally in different areas.

5. How would you explain your job to your mum?

I give programmers all the information they need to build successful websites.

6. Any tip concerning your field you’d like to give away?

When working with developers, non-developers often reach the limits of their technical understanding. I think that many people then prefer to switch off because they may not know what exactly to ask or even feel uncomfortable asking. However, if you ask a developer for a brief overarching explanation at such times, you will gradually gain a better understanding of the technologies used and communication and collaboration will become much easier and more efficient.

7. Which sources help you to stay up to date?

I like to find out about current events in the world via the Tagesschau News app. For trends and news from the digital industry, I regularly use my LinkedIn feed. For any acute questions that arise in my day-to-day work, I simply ask Google and gather information from various sources.

8. Any Apps you couldn’t live without?

Google Maps. I would constantly get lost and most likely end up in poorly rated tourist traps all the time.

9. If someone would delete the internet tomorrow, what else would you do?

Ich würde entweder eine Farm in Südfrankreich zu einem B&B umbauen oder eine Hundepension eröffnen.

10. Tell us a secret about yourself, something you haven’t told anyone yet?

I can’t think of anything right now that at least one person doesn’t already know and that I would share with the world 😉
