Objective

To design and conceptualize a website that unites all business areas of feco-feederle GmbH and presents them in a way that is tailored to each target group.

Result

A modern website with an optimal user experience and a corporate design optimized for digital use.

What does feco-feederle GmbH do?

As a renowned outfitter of office spaces and a leading manufacturer of space-defining system partition walls made of glass, wood, and metal, the feco Group designs, plans, and implements future-proof working environments.

Website Relaunch and Online Shop

Before the relaunch, feco operated two separate websites: one focused on office interiors, and another for the feco partition wall system. Since both sites had similar structures, there was a lot of duplicated content — problematic not only for SEO. The goal was to reflect the practical integration of both business areas also on the web. Technically, the old solution had limitations, and with the desire for an additional online shop for office furniture, it became clear: everything had to be rebuilt from scratch.

Defining the Goals

We began with an in-depth workshop to define the user and business objectives of the new site, discussing the different target audiences in detail.

Analysis

We analyzed the current sitemaps of both existing websites — “feco-feederle. Die BüroRäume.” and “feco. Die Trennwand.” — and reviewed the structure, content types, metadata, and taxonomies to understand what existed and how it functioned.

Sitemap and Navigation

The content from both sites was reorganized. A new page structure and information architecture were created. Some menu terms were redefined to ensure a clear and understandable taxonomy.

Concept Phase using Priority Guides

The next step was to define the required page types. Here we worked with so-called priority guides. We first defined goals for each page and then listed all the necessary content blocks hierarchically. In the next step, these blocks were then described in detail:

  • What content do we need and in what form?
  • Which modules are ideal for displaying them?
  • What functionalities and technical requirements are there?
  • Which elements are linked where?

Full-Width Video Sequences

To highlight the spatial concepts in the most impressive way, we use full-width video sequences as “hero” elements at the top of selected pages.

Partition Wall Detail Pages

On pages featuring partition wall systems, the challenge was to present product features clearly while also offering technical documents for download. Relevant image tags such as “project,” “solid wall,” and “glass wall” are displayed in an appealing and informative manner.

Clear and structured project overview

One of the main goals of the relaunch was to highlight the reference projects more strongly. This was achieved through their own section in the main navigation as well as prominent integration on various subpages.

We designed a project overview page that is clearly structured and offers multiple filtering options. This allows users to quickly find relevant projects and delve into the visual and content-rich detail pages.

Space Concepts

To communicate feco’s consulting and planning expertise for custom office space design, we placed a strong focus on “space concepts.” The result is a visually appealing and emotionally engaging page that makes it clear: feco is not just a manufacturer of high-quality system partitions, but also a strategic partner for designing future-oriented workspaces.
