B.PRO GmbH, a leading provider of innovative solutions for food transportation and kitchen automation, has commissioned us to relaunch its website. The relaunch combines modern design with flexible technology to create a user-friendly platform that both underlines the strength of the brand and is ideally equipped for future digital developments.

The aim of B.PRO GmbH was to increase organic findability, strengthen brand presence and create a future-proof, flexible platform that can be seamlessly integrated into existing and future projects.

The relaunch of the website offers an improved user experience and a technological infrastructure that is optimally geared towards the needs of customers and future expansions.

Initial situation and objectives

B.PRO GmbH is known for its innovative solutions in the areas of food transportation, storage and kitchen automation. In order to present this innovative strength more strongly digitally, the aim was to relaunch the website. The aim was to create a modern, user-oriented platform that underlines B.PRO’s brand strength, offers tailored content for different target groups and increases organic visibility through search engine-optimized content. The new website also needed to be flexible and future-proof so that new digital projects could be easily integrated.

Procedure: From the idea to implementation

As part of the technical and strategic consulting, we conducted a joint workshop to define the technical requirements for the website relaunch. Based on a detailed catalog of requirements and measures, which was prepared by workshops on target group analysis, the development of personas and the creation of the visual concept, this technical workshop focused on the specific requirements of the implementation.

The requirements for the CMS in terms of handling content and product data were defined, as well as the technical requirements for connecting and providing product data and documenting the necessary interfaces.

As part of the technical and strategic consulting, we decided to implement the website in two clearly defined phases, which made it possible to achieve initial results quickly and at the same time create long-term growth options:

  • MVP (Minimum Viable Product): In the first phase, the focus was on the rapid implementation of a new website that offers optimized content and campaign pages. The aim was to quickly increase organic visibility and generate leads. At the same time, the design was modernized and the user experience improved to ensure clear, intuitive user guidance. Integration with the existing online store was achieved in this phase through targeted links.
  • Version 1: In the second phase, which we are currently working on, the website will be expanded to include product overview and detail pages that obtain product data directly from an interface to B.PRO’s Product Information Management (PIM). There will also be deeper integration with the online store. Visitors can then experience an improved user journey through a seamless connection between the content and the store, which increases the length of stay and positively influences the purchase decision.

 

The clear structure of these phases ensured an efficient and swift implementation, creating both quick results and a long-term foundation for the growth of B.PRO’s digital presence.

Technological decision: Future-proof infrastructure and decoupled front end

A key aspect of the project was choosing the right technology. The decision was made in favor of a decoupled front-end architecture, which offers maximum flexibility in combination with a lean headless CMS (our choice is the open source project Payload CMS). This setup makes it possible to efficiently integrate content from different sources (CMS, PIM, store) and creates a solid technological basis for future expansions.

Advantages of decoupled technology:

  • Future-proof infrastructure: The platform has a modular design and can easily be expanded to include new functions without the need for any major changes to the core structure. This allows B.PRO to react flexibly to growing requirements and future digital projects – whether by introducing new features or integrating additional systems such as extended product management.
  • Increased flexibility: The clear separation between frontend and backend allows the design or frontend technology to be modernized independently without having to adapt the backend. This allows B.PRO to react quickly to new market trends, technological developments or user requirements and continuously improve the website.
  • Optimized performance: The use of modern, decoupled frontend technologies leads to faster loading times and an improved user experience thanks to server-side rendering and asynchronous data queries. This makes a decisive contribution to increasing the time spent on the page and boosting the conversion rate.
  • Easier maintenance and updates: The decoupling of frontend and backend ensures a clear and well-structured code base. This not only makes maintenance more efficient, but also future updates or extensions less complex. Changes to the frontend, for example, can be made more quickly without affecting the backend.

 

With this technology decision, B.PRO GmbH can ensure that its website not only meets current requirements, but is also ready for future challenges.
